Lasik Vision Correction

Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis known mainly by its acronym LASIK, is one of the most exciting and advanced laser procedures for correcting nearsighted, farsighted, and astigmatic vision. Fortunately, for many people who would prefer not to wear glasses or contacts LASIK is a wonderful option.

Dr. Richheimer and Mile High Eye Institute offer 100% blade-free LASIK.

Mile High Eye Institute utilizes the Allegretto Wavelight which is an excimer laser that precisely re-sculpts the cornea, imparting a new corneal shape. The amazing aspects of this laser includes a number of facets: The laser removes a precise amount of cornea without damaging the cornea left behind. The laser has a remarkable pupil tracking device ensuring consistent application of the laser and If a patient’s eye moves, the laser moves with it. Use of the Allegretto Wavelight, helps ensure the best possible optics, with the highest probability of 20/20 vision following LASIK.

Along with the Allegretto Wavelight Mile High Eye Institute utilizes Wavefront technology. Wavefront technology utilizes imaging to measure the eye from front to back creating a three-dimensional (3-D) image of the eye. The information gathered produces a map that guides the laser in customizing the treatment to your individual visual system.
